Default GOT TRAPPED BY PD!

well I was heading home tonight going north on 19, construction is coming up and I am in left lane which is about to end soon. there is a new infinity pacing me so I slowed down and so did he...well running out of road here. I dropped it down to third touched vtec got over and shut her down....just in time to see a pig blacked out on the side between all the cones and barriers.

he pulls me over, I tell him I had no where to go and no choice but to accellerate. he gives me 65 in 45 with douuble penalty from being in a constructionn zone. ill tell you...what happened to the good ol days when you could explain yourrself and be let go with atleast a warning.

anyways I need to know who you guys use for a pinellas traffic lawyer bc I'm def going to fight this one either way! also on average how much are the traffic lawyers? thanks guys!

If you have room to accelerate and pass, you have room to brake and change lanes.

My Soldiers work the road as Military Policemen and I would back them 100% for something like this.

I was headed south bound on 19 las night and I recall getting a very strong Ka band signal that was painting the northbound lane. I have a V-1 one so I could tell which direction he was shooting at.

Not that this matter since the attorney will cover it; were there workers or work going on at the designated construction site? I believe that fines can only be doubled if the site is ACTIVE. But ya, get an attorney, it's worth a Benjamin Franklin!

I feel your pain but I would not use that argument, the counter argument and logical safe law abiding solution would be to slow down or stop and change lanes when it is safe to do so.

If you use your argument you admit to speeding and once you do you are guilty, period!

just my 2 cents

he was using radar and stationary. the only workers I saw were at the VERY end picking p the cones to reopen the lane. I passed at the very beginning of the work zone were the lane was being closed. there were cars behind me and I am nnot one to stop on US9 also the infiniti was pacing me...I tried to slow but theen so did he so I dropped it down a gear to pass and shut it downn..nothing ilelgal bout that unless of course the city needss $$$.

Not in Pinellas and the guy I used for both of my tickets (Jerry - I think) in Hillsborough moved to South Florida. Was the officer city, county, or state? Just wait a couple of days and see if a name pops up and if not just google one up and research his/her score card...

Only problem is that you accerated past the 45mph to 20 over in a construction zone. Hopefully you can find someone to help out.

As far as warnings go several things come into play.

Type of car
Age
The day the Police offericer has had and the most important...
ATTITUDE.

If he believes you are not in a habit of speeding then he may let you off.

The type car we have already hurts that.

the road is normally 55mph, so I would have been 10 over but unfortunately it was going into the zone...
