Gran Turismo 4
I got it on Tuesday. I have an old Civic, just put turbo on it. I suck at it though. It's pretty hard. I kept getting last place until I was able to afford the turbo, I got fourth place after that, but haven't really played it much. It's pretty hard after playing Need for Speed and other arcade type racers.
I'm loving this game, as I'm sure you guys are too. I started with a used 98 Honda Civic Type-R. I got it up to about 220hp with some mods, and I completed the first Sunday Cup and most of the Honda Civic Challenge Race.
Trying to save up for nice s2k. I also recommend the Logitech Steering wheel. It's amazing, great feel to it.

Yeah, GT4 is everything I hoped it would be. I was able to transfer 100,000 credits over from my GT3 game, so my first car was a 2003 S2000 Type V in "Nurburbring Blue" which is as close I could get to my Suzuka blue. I've also picked up a NFR '99 S2000 and a Rio '00 from the used car lot (great deals there...also got a '98 Lotus Elise for 32k). Right now I'm trying to get all Gold in the B license test to get the S500. I had a Formual Force wheel for GT3 and I miss it...need that new logitech!
I didn't have space on my memory card to save a GT4 game, so I deleted out my GT3 save. It was afterwards that I found out that you could transer the GT3 save to GT4 to get more credits.
I found the best way to aquire cars and funds are the special conditions events the first two events are on pavement and all that is required to win is a decent driver and somewhat fast car. The prize cars for two 2 lap races are a Cadillac racer and for the second series its is a Toyota rally car. The rally car can be sold for 265,000 and won over and over by running that series again. Since the series is only two races of 2 laps it only takes about 5 minutes to be up 265,000. Hope this helps.

I just dont have time to go through and win races etc.. I need a gameshark or something.
So when are we going to have a "Lan" party so we can all race each other?

I tried a LAN setup with my neighbor, but after not getting it workin gin the first couple of tries we just settled into our own games. He has a 60" sony DLP screnn which allowed us to split the screen into 2 approx 27" screens for play. I think you have to use a hub or router direct connect through a crossover cable didn't seem to work.
I've made it to about 15% of the game. I have my A, B, and iB licenses. I'm only the final test away from getting the iA, but its hard. You are doing the Mulsane Straight at LeMans in a Nissan IMSA car. Its insane. You are going 240 MPH!
My favorite weapon of choice is the Amuse S2000 GT1. It goes like crazy and handles awesome. That rally car you get for winning the Capri special conditions is a beast too. I won that about 7 times so I could buy other cars.
Anyone tried the American Showdown? That race is insane. Its only an 'A' license requirement but the computer cars are awesome.
