Great pics and it looked like you guys had a great time!
One quick question... in the pic titled "JROSEN driving and my dad riding shotgun", it looks like that's a white car, no? I have also checked out the other pics and noticed the seats in this white S2000 are actually two-tone with some kinda head rests similar to Rick's, but better looking. Would you mind posting some close-up pics of the seats, if any?
The seat finish that you see in JRosen's car is a seat cover. They look great in person....made by a company in Hawaii if I remember correctly. He gave me some contact info for them awhile ago, as I was thinking of getting some to save the leather in my red 2001. They arent like leather or vinyl but feel more like nylon or a wet suit material.
Wynn, Spider,
The seat cover manufacturer is a company called Wet Okole. www.wetokole.com.
The covers are neoprene (wet suit material), and I believe he has a set of Rick's headrest's underneath them.
If I remember right, Joe said they weren't the most cooperative guys to work with, he got the first set of S2000 covers that they made, used his car to test the patterns for the covers - which fit REALLY well, by the way. He tried to set up a group buy but the company was just kind of like "we have too much buiness anyway, we don't need a group buy"
But maybe since the patterns are done now they might be a little easier to just order a set from.
I had a set of their covers for my Jeep and I loved them!
Warmer in winter and cooler in summer than leather, and no big deal if you get caught in the rain with the top down- plus an extra 1/4" of padding under your rump.
I think a pair of custom bucket covers from them is about $225 in any color combo you want.
On a different note, there's a car show at Mel's Diner here in Bradenton this Saturday at 7 if anyone wants to come. Last show I attended there was pretty good with about 100 cars - mostly old muscle, but my S2K DEFINITELY got a lot of attention. It and a Prowler were the only late models there last time.
Let me know if anyone is interested in showing up and we'll set up spots together.
Wow, that was the best run yet. Little traffic, beautiful weather and high speeds. A big thanks to Deborah, Vince and Wei-Shen for organizing and leading this event. Another thanks for taking care of the entrance to the Tower. I just wish I didn't have to head back to Tampa early. Below are a few memories of the day...
...and it didn't stop there!.
See you guys next time, unless I'm caring for a newborn!
