Default Group Drive Stuff

Well, me and #4 son (Zack) did the run yesterday to verify the road conditions, times, traffic and break areas. We are all set!! Basically the first leg is the same as last year but I have added to the last leg some new roads that you are gonna' love. The day was perfect! The outside temp registered 52 degrees on the dash of the '06 and crept up to 61 by the trip back to Zhills. Pure sunshine and top down weather, couldn't have been any better. Well except that it wound have been cool to have Raven & his dad with us. They broke down on the way out to the college to meet us. Dadgum shame.................

The guy that owns the Citgo where we stopped for the first break last year is excited about us visiting him again. He wants pictures this year of all of our cars lined up before we pull out this time.

The Pub owner got my email about the event and was waiting for me yesterday when we got there. He is pumped and very appreciative that we have selected his place for the final spot to enjoy the day. He will have a full staff on the clock to accomodate us. This place rocks!!

All in all, this route is the cat's meow. Little known 2 lane country bumpkin back roads that offer hills, flats, wide sweeping turns, switchbacks, farms, forrests and fantastic British Pub food at the finale. You are going to love this drive. No disappointments!!

Scott

Yes, the sand on the road from the orange groves it is a hard right turn.
In general please be careful out there and be mindful of the road and the law, you don't have to speed or push it to hard to have fun. The areas we are driving in are full of great scenery to take in Top down great cruising fun
BE SAFE so we can all have lunch together

So what date is it? Where do we start? How long is the drive? Just trying to plan the day.

Yes, I remember this one well. A lot of us got a little loose in that turn. Just have your braking done and off the throttle till you are at the apex.

Next Saturday, December 2nd. Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City on Blanton Road (CR41). Plan on ariving by 8:30, then the safety meeting and depart by 9:00 AM. We should be at the Pub by 12:15-12:30. After Lunch, you are on your own. Most folks start heading home by 2:00 PM.
