this guy is nutzzzz!
This looks absolutely awesome! About half-way through I grew scepticle though, his movements became too fluid, and then the question comes of what the hell is following him? Our cars can't even take corners that smooth! It can't be another roller person because they camera doesn't flare out before the corners like he does. The only moving camera technique that is that smooth is from a helicopter.
Anyone have any ideas??

its def. a motorcycle or something small like that behind him.
you can see that the chase vehicle is taking some of the same lines as the maniac but somewhat less aggresive. the camera does lean into the turns a bit. The rollerblader has to take the turns much more aggresively to bleed off his energy and speed. ( istill dont know how he is braking but you can sure see something getting worn down onto the road in that first tight turn. WOW!!
I say its real and the speeds may be played with a little but it looks totally viable to me.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing too in regards to the camers. It's at ground level with the "rolling lunger" (for lack of a better term) and keeping speed.
I'm guessing it's someone possibly doing the same???

the camera would be way to bumpy if it was another psycho luger
the perspective is a bit higher than the subject mater so I am assuming a front fork mounted camera on a bike or scooter of some kind.
this reminds me of an old game for PS1 or some console where it its like Wipeout XL only the racers were made out of people with body armor and wheels on their hands and feet. when you jumped in the game you could do special mooves like SSX so it was a good mix of racing and style points. i forget the name of it though

if it is it is a very very good one. there is a nitch of guys doing CGI to make realistic non-cinema caliber special FX (think some of those truck commercials where it looks like home movie or handy-cam footage etc)
to me it would be a colossal waste to create something so close to being plausible to begin with out of CG. What is being shown is not impossible at all IMHO so why spend so much effort to fake it.
my money is on real, maybe not so fast and furious (they probably sped it up a tad) but real nonetheless

I've seen this guy on Ripley's Believe it Or Not. He's from Paris and is an absolute nut.
