Default has anyone had this oil leak experience ?

hello,

ive had this oil leak for a long time now and kinda going crazy here !! lol, everytime I pass my finger underneath the v-tech solenoid its always wet with oil, I have replace the o-ring and filter that the v-tech has and that wasn't the issue. so I decided to go higher and remove the TCT and replace the O-rings on that too and I still get oil leak from somewhere there ??? it gets worse when I step on the car cause I find more oil due to high oil pressure but when I just cruise I don't have that much coming out. any idea what else can it be or where else can it becoming from ?? any suggestions will be much appreciated, thanks !!!

I think just about every s2k owner in the world feels your pain.. My f20c solenoid leaked with 190k miles, my f22c started leaking around 40k miles.

Did you check the little o-ring on the Vtec oil pressure sensor? Remove the electrical plug from the Vtec oil pressure sensor and see if there is oil inside the connector. The other common area is the part where the top and body of the Vtec solenoid connect together (3 bolts on the top). If the leak is coming from there, you have to replace the Vtec solenoid because they do not sell that gasket separately.

I have a slight drip from here as well. I've replaced all the gaskets except the one I can't find (mentioned above). I'm probably just going to replace the solenoid.

Its not the gaskets. It leaks through the pressure switch. Only solution I have found is to replace the whole solenoid.

It is common. My friend had the same issue and it got progressively worst. We tried just the gaskets and Honda-bond but it didn't work. We then checked the mounting surface and somehow it had become warped. Replaced the solenoid and it cured the problem.
