I'm in Gainesville as well.

Haven't really posted on the forums, as you can see, but have been reading for around a year and have had my AP2 Silverstone since June.

Freshman at UF, so I'm pretty new to the town. Loving it so far. I've seen a lot of S2K's up here in Gainesville, a pleasant surprise.

Great to finally see a thread for S2Ks in Gainesville.

 

i didn't make it out tonight after all ... my cold is really kicking my butt. I'd like to get together sometime this week in either Ocala or Gainesville. Just keep this thread going with ideas of dates, times, and places. I'm good for just about anything until Saturday/Sunday.

Thursday night is when IntMo (International Motorsports) meets in Gainesville. The crowd can be a little immature at times and I know this is why some folks have decided not to attend over the last few years. I still know some of the core members that are avid SCCA racers and wrenchers that still attend. I would be interested in meeting NEAR there (Ale House parking lot on Archer Road) if that works for anyone else. They usually don't meet until 10pm. I think we could meet earlier for food at Ale House and then just see how the rest of the night develops. What do you guys think?

 

I maybe down for that, i have a test on friday morning so i will have to see how the studying goes, but i may drop by, i mean i gotta eat right?

Actually Negcamber came back through this way a couple of months ago and took him to Rondo's. He said he really enjoyed it!

But, even i'd rather go to Gainesville... the drive up 441 is actually kinda nice.

It really is a matter of how many people are willing to go either location. There are probably more S2k's in Gainesville than Ocala (that want to participate atleast.)


I'm gonna start another thread as a Gainesville/Ocala meet now just to make it more noticeable and we'll see who responds.

Hey now, Ocala is not too shabby. I'd rather live here than in G-Ville.

Trust me ... i'm a big fan of Ocala ... i was born in Gainesville but have been in Ocala (Marion County wide) all my life.

Which ricer meet are you talking about? I heard they were meeting at Sams again lately ... but, i stopped going out when there were at Hobby Lobby. They were getting really stupid out there ... hence while i stopped.

 

It's at the Winn-Dixie in Marion Oaks. I went in there this past weekend to find a buddy of mine and it's amazing how many people wanted to start stuff because of my S.
