9k rpms with NO oil pump!

Engine has dinky pistons and the bearings are all needle bearing, hence the lack of an oil pump! I watched a complete rebuild of Jay Leno’s S800 on TV. WAY COOL!

there are several differences between the two cars.. Jay Leno restoreed a S 600, the primary difference was drive train... the S 600 had a pair a motor cycle chains an gears, totaly insane looking.... and the S 800 went with a considered conventional drive shaft...

a bump on the hood is the first tell tail difference in bodys the S 600 without and the S 800 has a bump

one story from growing up with a friend an his S 600 was he changed the sprockets and it dug a trench in the local drag strip... which was an abandoned airstrip of hard pack sand...

i can't forget a friend named Jerry and an Orange S 600 hardtop.. another named Bobby and a Maroon S 600 Conv.. and a car i remember the first S 800 convertable... but can't think of the guys face..... but the car and sports cars in general were part of my blood ever since...

i was 14 when we went to Okinawa.. and had just finished my State of Kansas 14 yr old's drivng tests and gotten my limited hours legal license... i wasn't the only one.. several of us were stationed in Kansas an we all got sent there.. an we all were permitted to drive.. was cool at 14... real tricky now my daughters turned 14... well, we're not in Kansas...

and i really enjoy my S

now i've remembered their names I wonder if they ever were or are S2000 owners...
