Default Hondata Install Pics -- Chiung's Install

I've been so lazy on getting to these pics, but I hope Chiung and everyone who was there for his mod session enjoys.

I can't show my appreciation more for installing this gruelling piece of hardware. The car is running super smooth, no leaks, no problems. The manifold is cool to the touch still and I have way less bog than I used to on extended driving. Definitely recommend this mod.

Going back on!

I did basically nothing on this job except tighten some bolts and move things around for Chiung. Chiung did it all. This job was very involved. It took about 8 hours I would say. Now mind you we were taking our time to do it correctly. There are a lot of parts to take, e.g fuel rail, throttle body, coolant tubes, manifold. I would either suggest someone that is mechanically knowledgible with honda's for this job or a lot of patience and good instructions.

Basically, the hardest job is just getting all the parts off and putting it back together. Some of the nuts and bolts are very hard to get to.

Install instructions: http://www.s2000.org/mods/insulator/

Enjoy!

Thanks John - glad it's helped.

As mentioned, the job takes time, a strong back, and a few specific tools. For us Floridians, it's worth it - due to reduced heat issues.

Troy - how long did it take you to do the valves?

btw - I'm 2 weeks into tax season - sorry if I seem MIA until April 15...anyone needs me please PM...

Chiung, I was mostly a helper doing the valves. Since I had the short block replaced by Honda the car was strong down low with nothing up high. Dynoed 150H.P. I took it to Honda six times complaining that the car wasn't right and they couldn't figure it out the problem and would not admit there even was a problem. I went to www.racerelated.com and James the owner did them for me in about an hour start to finish. I took off the valve cover ect. but I was a rookie on the procedure of adjusting the valves to spec. I didn't dyno since but the car feels stronger than ever before and back to running right!

Chiung , I saw your V2 install . Looks good! Did you remove your brake cooling duct system?
