I stayed at the Gaylord Palms Resort Hotel for $89 a night ( usually 3-4 times as much) through priceline.com the hotel was as cool as Disney, they had a shark lagoon with a ship in the middle that you eat on, a gator pit, mountains and real/fake snow.

you can stay on property at Pop Century or another C resort for less than that. if your trip is solely for Disney i would suggest staying on property. They have free transportation to everything that disney has. no need to ever start your car.

Both of those are Disney hotels and are listed at Disney.com they also give you a break on tickets if you do all your stuff together. They have a bunch of pass options an annual pass for FL resident is usually a better deal if you are going for more than 3 days. They also have a pass good for 6 months for even less. Also if you are going to buy your food in the parks the dining plan is a better deal than just pay as you go about $38/ day adult and $9/day for kids. Make reservations for a couple of the better restaurants that take up 2 of the dinner coupons and use the counter service at places like Morocco in Epcot where can use a kids counter service and get $20 worth of food. We have annual passes and stay there quite often if you have any specific questions or just want more info PM me with your phone #.

I agree with the others. Stay in Disney for the convenience factor!
