I am OLD....I think
I am 32 TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!Ok here is the deal:
I am an early Generation Xer meaning I grew up during the 80's and 90's. here are my conundrums:
-- 32, balding, out of shape and a S2000 owner....Am I compensating for something with this car or just enjoying it because I finally can???
-- Should I stop playing XBOX and PS2 because I should be an adult?
-- Should I be in a more executive job (currently a slacker Creative Director and freelance multimedia designer)?
-- Do I have to act more like grown adults do (I act like and do things I did when I was 19)?
-- Besides some of my core beliefs, I do not think I have matured much beyond 19 or 20 is that wierd?
-- Are my values and wants more or less grown up compared to my parents generation?
-- Do people who are 50 or 60 or older feel they behave the same way they did when they were 20 or 30?
I have many others but these are some of the bigger ones.
What is you perspective on growning up??
I'm 33 and I play video games, own an S2000, go out partying 4 nights a week, etc...! Consider yourself blessed. Most people get married out of high school, pop out a few babies and before they know what's happening they are, dare I say, OLD. Screw that.. there is plenty of time to grow up and settle down. Just not right now. Maybe when I'm 60
Relax and enjoy your B-day ! Age is just a state of mind
I am 38 and don't feel like it - my favorite past time other than driving my S is playing Halo when time permits - remember you are only as old as you feel

I'm older than you, fat and bald also. I play video games all the time. Halo 2 comes out in a month!
I act less mature now than I did in college. I have a non meaning full job, going nowhere. No kids, thank God.
My philosophy is to live now and have fun incase you die before you retire. Even though I'm old, I sill have almost half my life until I retire, 30 more years! Keep having fun until you are no longer able to. Nothing wrong with that.
Oh, I do think you are compensating for something, but we don't want to go there.

Too funny! I just had to reply, because just the other day, my mother asked if I was ever going to act my age.
My sister, a few days later, asked when my "toys" were going to be replaced with savings accounts so I could retire.
To be honest, I never thought I'd make it much past 30 and I'm 37 now. Still driving a high-performance sports car, riding a sportbike like a maniac and playing and acting immature every chance I get. My husband and I joke that out of my family, he and I are the "fun ones" and my sister and her husband are the "boring, responsible ones". DH and I work hard but we play hard too and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I know PLENTY of "old" people who act immature and have fun and they're more fun to be around than a lot of folks younger than I am. I just kind of think it's about embracing life while you have it to embrace!
