Default I Finally bit the BULLET..

LOOK BELOW TO SEE PICS OF THE KIT ON THE CAR

Well my girlfriend got me a kit for my s2000 last year for my birthday.. Last July to be exact.. and it has been sitting in my garage since then. I haved looked at it EVERYDAY for the past 6-7 months wishing I would just DO IT.. Well I drove past this shop the other day called Red Line and decided to get an estimate.. The estimate was pretty decent.. (I have had 3 other estimates and they were all in the ballpark) .. but the difference was that this place had some really nice cars in their bay (including Orlando Magic Player Steve Francis' brand new Land Rover). Plus the owner was super nice to me.. I ended up knowing him because I judged their car at a car show.. So he decided to give me a great deal.. I dropped my car off last wednesday and they told me it would probably take a week.. I just stopped by today so they could get my OK before they started to actually paint the kit.. so here are the pics!

I cant wait till it is DONE!! So far so good.. Ill post pics up once its done =)

It's Done!!! Here are the new pics!

And here are pics of my recleared hood! They really did a good job on it..

Dropped the car off at Team Redline again! To get my new look painted..Here is my new look as of 9/14/06... got a few more changes coming!!

Yah they are going to basically fading the paint.. The reason why they are doing that is because they used a special adhesive to put the kit on.. Basically so it WILL not flex or Crack. Also, he said it makes the kit look alot cleaner and oem this way. Or this is what the owner told me.. You are really making me nervous now.. lol .. I do not know much about body work or paint.. So I am just going by what the owner tells me. The paint and body work do come with a 2 year warranty.. so if anything goes wrong I can take it back. =) All the other places where I got estimates would not warranty thier work because it was aftermarket pieces.. so to Red Line. and hopefully they will do a good job. I am passing by today. They should have some of the paint on the car by today.. =)

I've had a kit sitting in my closet for three years now (beats your 6-7 months! ), and now that insurance is paying to have the car repainted, it's a good time to install it. But I've yet to find a shop I feel is of a high enough quality... I'll be paying attention to this one.

WHOA 3 YEARS.. haha.. I could't hold it anymore.. so far Red Line has been GREAT.. They are also fixing my oxidized Carbon Fiber Hood. They purchased some special Clear Coat so it would not Oxidize again because of the heat from the motor... I will definitely post pics up once it is done.. =)
