Default I was outa control today!

i changed the factory oil at 2670 miles and changed the rear diff fluid also. I was expecting some Honda engineer to magically appear in my drive way and void my warranty. No Honda engineer appeared and my car is still drivable....

I had 2 bottles of the new 2007 Honda tranny fluid but the dealer didn't have the crush washer for the tranny, so I will wait until next weekend to sacrifice the OEM tranny fluid. I assume at that moment the Honda engineer will magically appear and void my warranty!

i started to remove the OEM radio but i got scared. i didn't want to break the radio door and surround. i pulled and got the bottom clips free, but the uppers didn't want to budge. thoughts? advise.

Yah... just pull harder. You wont break anything, and as long as you got the first half all you have to do is just push down on it and pull out hard.

Hmmm...I thought the reason they recommend leaving the factory oil in for entire 1st oil change interval was to help the piston/rings bed into the cyl walls for the best seal and therefore max horsepower. Kinda like why Honda does not recommend synthetic until the engine has something like 7500-10k miles (iirc, it is in the owners manual). Using synth too soon will rob your engine of its full potential.

When you remove the center console on an AP2, the radio door surround will slide straight out. It will also slide straight in with the center console lifted. On an AP1, it is not necessary to remove the center console. On an AP2, the center console butts up closer to the door surround.

p.s. I have had to do it more than a dozen times to tweak my alarm proximity detector.
