Default Ideas for things to do on Honeymoon.......

My bride and I are going to be staying around Key Largo for our honeymoon April 4th through April 8th. I am looking for ideas on what is fun to do in the Keys. Any help?

I totally agree. Diving at John Pennekamp coral reef is amazing too (http://www.pennekamppark.com/)

There are also tons of fishing charters as well. From large groups to just getting your own boat. Either has it's advantages based on what you're looking to do. I like getting my own boat, packing up a nice little cooler, and spending a few hours out alone with your loved one And the price is usually VERY reasonable as there is some much competition

It will also be well worth the drive down to Key West during the day or night. There is lots to do and see there on Duval Street.

Have fun

I saw this thread about 5 hours ago and, I held back as long as a I can. The very fact that you had the nads to ask this Forum what they would want to do during their Honeymoon (in any location) is just about the most daring thing that I have ever heard of. All I can say is, come up for "air" every once in a while......

JK.....MacDaddy Kudos and Congrats on your special time together. The only real legitimate plug that I will input here is to make sure that you head over to where the Charter Boats anchor. There you will find the a very special Irish Pub called "Finnegans Wake". Look it up online, get directions to it, and make sure you get there on the first night that you arrive. That way, you will be sure to get back there after you visit all of the other "tourist trap" places. I end up there every evening, rergardless of the other places to encounter. You will not be disappointed........

Thanks for the ideas. I'll look in to renting a boat and diving.

Do try and spend a day in Key West. It has the most to do, options wise, and at sunset at the pier it turns into a slight art show with local art vendors hawking wares, local acrobats and performers doing shows (including a French man and his stunt trained cats), and a beautiful scenery of the sunset over water before your eyes. Afterwards, you can eat on the balcony at the hotel right there or walk onto Duvall. I also suggest hitting the butterfly observatory in Key West. It's not expensive, it's absolutely stunning and fairly large, and you will assuredly get some awesome pics as well as some winged companions with you in them. Becareful where you step as there are also other animals such as small quail that waltz around. The observatory is really a must see and it won't take long, depending on how much time you and your lady wish to spend interacting and aweing over the sensory delight.

Most importantly Yarb, enjoy yourselves and relax. Don't try to pack in too much or make schedules or you'll find yourselves enjoying less and stressing more. Just go with the flow and follow your fancies. And congrats!

pennekamp, key west, diving, get on a charter for deep sea fishing or head boat at least once (charter is better than a head boat)

hit all the dive bars on the side of the highway on the way down to the Key West
