It is going to be hard to please everyone. As long as people know where you are so they can locate the shop and know what you deal with your good. The majority of people still want to go to a shop to buy parts in person according to most recent studies. If your marketing towards the internet client then it would be more important to post prices, dyno sheets and as much info on each part as possible.

Add a groupbuy section and post the links to the forums that the shop is running group buys in.

Wink

I have the map and other contact pages up.

All the input is awesome .

The listings will be revamped along the way to include performance info and other important info. This is just a quick launch to get things rolling. The content is just the tip of the iceberg. Each section will flesh out over the next week or so.

The opening menu on the engine page (NSX, S2000 etc) will open up to include each major line from Acura/Honda ( more companies down the road like Nissan etc). This menu will be present on each of the major sections.

For exhaust and other sound rerlated parts we will have high quality video clips and even a video collection section down the road to showcase various race vids I come across on the net. I will also have a manual section on line too where you can DL manuals for the various cars.

I will most likely be making the intial thumbnail pictures bigger and having a larger clickthrough version for each but I will have to reinvest in a good thumbnailing program to make that job easier (pain in the ass right now)

The actual Gallery sections will be where my flash viewer will really shine. I will be petitioning you guys very soon to send me pics to display if you want your ride to have some web exposure.

That shop is clean!! LOL the space we have is very bare bones but big. The lift and tools look minimal because they are for the time being but the space is so big it looks rinky dink. We can fit almost 9 cars inside if we try hard.

FYI we are trying for a June meet/show grand opening fiesta. More info to come on that but once we get all of our stock from maryland we are going to have a huge push out to the public.

Keep the comments coming I am compiling them all and trying to devise the best course of action.

Youse guys rock!!! Thanks

You also might want to think about how to market your website... Theres much to gain on search engines without spending a lot on advertising.

Its no longer build it and they will come. Now its get a good ranking in Google and they will come.

Also if you are planning to go big on the internet, eCommerce is a must!

Thumbs down

OH yeah you betcha

I have an excellent SEO guy at the web design/hosting company I used to work for. I just wont take it to the extreme some sites go to. I will stop when the changes start to compromise the sites aesthetics. And I will NOT spam the search engines with certain unfavorable tactics (invisible text etc etc).

Meta tags and image alt tags fine but stuff that gets you kicked off and black-balled works against you in the long run.

We will be also active persuing banner exchages and other placement opportunities

VVS lets talk about some banner stuff

Good point

Yeah bad SEO tactics will get you blacklisted on Google.

Its about page titles, alt image tags, relevant outside links and content, content, content.

It will be a little while, getting a real website rather than the current sportcompactvalue.com . Will also have a few other cool things depending on what Primo and his buddy, Sean can create.
