i won't be there until late evening on Saturday. I have plans until noon then I'll start heading that way (2hr drive). I'll try to pack Friday night ... but no promises.

I'm pretty sure that putting stock springs back on another car will require a spring compressor ... i could be wrong. And installing the driver-side rear is a BIG PITA!! So ... keep the pom-poms out.

I figure I should chime in now

I let Clint know that I won't be available until Sunday morning. If you guys want to get started on his car Saturday night, that would definitely kill a good chunk of time. Plus we wouldn't be able to finish both cars Saturday night as it is (more than likely).

I was going to say, it might be easier if we just keep the springs on the struts/shocks and just swap those over, depending on the condition of my shocks? That way we wouldn't have to go through the hassle of a spring compressor and such, but it's your call Nadia

I'll be there Sunday morning so we can start but like I said, if Clint's car can be prepped Saturday night, then it would be for the better. Let me know what the plan ends up being. Thanks.

It definately is easier to change the whole assembly.

So are you guys swapping assemblies or just springs? That does make a big difference in the amount of time required to swap. If it's just springs you'll definitely need a compressor to get the stockers back on. You know that though...

Yeah, I'm waiting to hear back regarding that. Swapping assemblies would definitely be the best idea.

very good option there Xistence ... keeping everything together will help TREMENDOUSLY.

this is gonna sound strange, but, i'm all out of latex gloves. Do you have any Nadia? It will help keep us from getting dirty-cutes (aka cuticles ... yes, i'm a metro ... deal with it!!! )
If you don't i'll try to remember to stop and get some.

yep scoot. weve got plenty.

definitely a necessity for those of us who have acrylic fingernails.

and chad if you were not trading springs with me, youd be in serious trouble.

i was advised by a trusted source to keep my own shocks but this blahblahblah compressor thing youre talking about is not something i currently have laying around or something i have the moneys to 'rent/borrow'...so i guess since im not the one performing most of the work, i dont have any choice but to trade the entire setup do i?
