JANUARY 13th GROUP DRIVE!
STARTING LOCATIONS AND FOOD UPDATES!!!!!
Exit #250 off of I-75, Gibsonton exit. Go to the brand new Super WalMart on the SW corner of this exit. Make sure that you get here early enuf to gas up here. It has the cheapest gas in the area.
Everyone should try to be there by 9:30 AM. Looks like the first group will leave promptly at 10:00 AM, then 10:15 and the final on at 10:30. There are two stops during the drive and if each group will take no more than 15 minutes at each stop, you will be leaving just as the next group shows up. Both of the rest locations are well informed and will be "geared" up for our patronage. Be sure to spend money at these locations b ut you will not need to getting gas unless you plan on driving in VTEC the entire route.
The restaurant is also on the hook to support our large group. But they would really like to know the size so if you are planning on coming, please confirm with Rob (Primogen). Too, if you have to cancel, please be considerate & let Rob know this as well. This place is different, you should be remembering this one for a long time. Draft beer is only 20 cents more than soda pop!!
Entire drive with stops looks to be about 2 hours & twenty minutes so the first group should hit the restaurant about 12:20, then 12:35 and finally, the last one at 12:50 (or so......). Figure about an hour & a half so you can figure on leaving by 2:00 PM to head back home. Or, hang out a while and take the same route going backward, it's a whole different drive and this way, you fill up the day with driving dedication and memories that'll hold you over until our next drive in February (hint, hint....)
Ok everybody we had to make some decisions on the food available at the restraunt.
To accomodate us all the manager suggested a buffet style BBQ. They are in full winter season there, meaning, the RV park is basically full and they get a decent sized lunch rush especially on the weekends. Their kitchen is on the small side so she expressed concern over being able to offer the full menu. Having a BBQ that is run seperately from the kitchen allows for all of us to be served good food in a timely fashion.
here is the BBQ menu run down:
BBQ Buffet
14.95 per person
Includes Soft Drinks, tea etc
Ribs , Chicken and Sausasge w/ peppers
Beans , Corn on the Cob , Cole Slaw
I hope that everyone can find agreement with the offering here. there will be plenty of food and it will be buffet style so save up a good appetite.
I am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. This is pretty much the only way we could ensure a smooth running lunch.
Beer and other drinks will be handled seperately by the wait staff.
Melissa, the manager is very excited to have us and it should be a great time.
I will have more info ASAP. PM me with questions or concerns.
