I would love to refinish my 3 piece wheels but, I'm afraid to take them apart. Did you do the work your self?

the LM's look great in black with the gold trim. very nice!

yes i did all the work myself minus the powdercoat, your wheels are not bad to do, the only thing is you would have to run a bead of silcone around the entire wheel to seal it. its just time really, but can easily be done!

Ben,
I took one of my sets of SSR GT3's apart. It was pretty easy. The seal is still intack. 40 bolts per wheel though....lol

you still need to silicone the wheel where it goes back together, if not they will leak and then you have to take it apart again=FAIL lol.

btw mitch my LM's only have 20 per wheel

Thank guys for the info....I am such a puss when it comes to taking these apart. I'm not sure I even can because, Simmons uses a custom head on the bolts that hold the wheel together. I would have to make a tool I'm guessing.....

mine had a 12 point star, I was able to us a standard torx that fit correctly to six of the twelve
