My wife did it at a place near International Plaza. They were great and I got to watch. She has excellent results. It's been almost a year now, no side affects.

If you decide to spend that much money I would say make a trip to Taiwan. I paid a bit less than $800 to get both eyes done and $800 for the plane ticket. That's just $1600. You still have planty of money left for a good trip. In Taiwan, they use all the latest mechine due to the high market competition. So you really don't have to worry about the result. I got it done about 10 months ago and have no problem with it at all.

Eric thanks for your recommendation, but I'm a little eerie about overseas operations. Im sure technology there is just as good as over here; however, if something does go wrong, it is nearly impossible to recover any damages. The price isnt much of an issue for me, i just want the best result. I can work for the rest of my life to recover the $3800 but if the sight is gone, its gone for good.

jvrabel, what is the name of the place? i will have to do some more research!!! thanks for the replies guys.

Eric, your car looks great btw.

Im an optometry tech, read up on the pros and cons. That flap can come loose if you take a direct hit, they also dont allow pilots to fly if they've had lasik(in the air force). Make sure your eyes have been stable for awhile b4 u get it done. (your rx hasn't changed much in the last 2 yrs). Lasik does have a pretty good satisfaction rate. The choice is yours ultimately.

I had mine done in Miami about 2.5 years ago.
It was about $1300 per eye.
I've been very happy with the results!

This guy in Saint Petersburg is supposed to be the best in Florida and one of the best in the world. He pioneered Lasik w/o slicing your eye with a scalpel.

My wife's a Eye Doctor, I will ask her.
