Default Leasing Question

I'll try in here first...Maybe there is someone here who works for a dealership and can give some good inside advice.

My Story:

Arrange a lease for $3000 down and $329 a month for 36 months on an Acura. I then add $2100 worth of OEM accessories (Front, Rear, Side Spoilers, Wing). The new quoted price is now $407 a month. $407-$329=$78 $78*36 months=$2,808

Even with tax, installation and interest I can't understand the justification for raising the price by $700 over retail cost. Do I get to KEEP the parts at the end of the lease? Wouldn't the residual value also increase and therefore offset the increase in purshase cost? I just know they won't resell it at stock price if they take it back.

I don't know the residual or depreciation numbers they are using. I'm doing this by internet only, so far. But, can they get away with this? I asked them to tell me why the incredible increase and gave them the numbers I gave here. The response was basically, "Sorry. That's the way it is."

Any insight?

I agree. try a differant dealer. I would at least ask for a brake down of the $700. If they cant tell you what it is for tell them your taking your money somwhere else. The car business is tough right now and they wont wana loose a deal over $700.

Sorry. I should have been more specific. I have tried all of the Orlando dealers, Tampa, Lakeland and Ocala. They all have given me something similar. A difference of only $10 or so. This was actuallly the lowest deal I got.

That's why I'm confused. Is this just the way dealers work?

are both the quotes plus tax or are the quotes 329 plus tax and 407 tax incuded?
thoses accessories are hard adds and should be residualized somewhat. I'm not at the dealership right now (Gatorland Acura), to tell you the exact specifics on how much. shoot me a PM if you want me to get you in touch with someone while i'm not there that can give you the exact specifics.

here's some info to kind of help i guess. it's what i can get from the house.
residuals: 10K/year 61%; 12K/year 60%; 15K/year 58%
so if you were doing 36mo 12K/year residual would be $17256
for the accessories the only one that's an add is the rear wing spoiler at $300......so $17556
the money factor they are probably using to be competitive is .00110. which comes a 2.64% rate basically.
i don't know what your gross cap cost is to figure out the rest but just doing retard math in my head i think the only thing you are forgetting about in the $700 is the rent charge. But without all the rest of the info i'm just guessing and what not.
