I don't think he is that good of a driver. He seems to loose control of the car early with a shift, he enters the corners too late, mis-shifted @ 1:59, and is anything but smooth. Fast, yes. Smooth, no. He could shave a few seconds off his time if he had more control of the car, and apexed the corners in his lane properly IMO. All of this is forgiveable, and is part of the process.

The lane crossing however, is totally unforgiveable.

 

It's one thing to kill yourself by driving stupid, It's another thing to kill someone else who has no control over whats going on. If he is not smart enough to take it to the track, then I pray it is just him that winds up dead instead of some innocent driver or maybe children. There is absolutly NO excuse for this on public roads. I don't care how good you are.

The lane crossing is unacceptable. He nearly pegged that circa 70s pickup truck head on. I give no props for showbating that puts other people at risk. Morons like this cause cops to gun for our car. I grade him a 0 out of 10 for being stupid.

 

I once put gas in and accidentally switched it to Km/hr instead of resetting the trip counter. I took off and looked at the speedometer and saw >100. I was freaking out until I figured out it was Km/hr.

 

Cool road, too bad there was traffic on it.

I'll stick to autocrossing...alot less things can go wrong.

 

You know......... I tried; I honestly tried not to click the link to watch this video but curiosity overcame my integrity (not my first time... ) and finally watched it. Up until now, I have never felt the urge to reach through a computer screen and choke someone but, this is revolting. But, so help me, if anyone ever portrays even a glimmer of this stupidity on any of the Group Drives that I am involved with you will have one of two choices:

A). Sit down with me and I'll take 2 hours to explain what the Bible promises in the teaching of the Resurrection or,

B). You will become a participant in that Resurrection Hope much sooner than you could have imagined as you will become the latest Menu Special for Road Kill at the upcoming restaurant stop at The Linger Lodge Resort Restaurant that we will be attending on the 13th.

Not only does his driving suck, his technique sucks, too. Search the racing & competition thread for Brad Lamont's North or South course runs from Nationals - watch how smooth he is, and notice his hand positions, too.

 

After watching pretty much all his videos, he really does suck.
