Default Love Fab question

Does anybody know anything about the Love Fab GT1 turbo kit. I just saw it and it is so sexy but i dont want to spend an extra 2K on a different turbo kit if it doesnt do me any good. The inline pro is 5K and it will push about 400+.

Race Related is working with a machine shop that makes custom kits. I know these guys and they are working on a custom S2000 kit now. They do good work and they are local. Realistically a kit installed would run you about 5K. Parts and the turbo alone would cost more than 2K.

If you only want 400rwhp don't go to these guys. It would be hard to keep the numbers that low.

What ever you do DON"T buy a kit from the SS chrome guy on E-bay. His kits are cheap but I hear his turbos are really bad.

Don't worry it takes a lot to get to 500, if you want it on pump gas. The latest one in Super Street is just a hair over 500 on pump gas and 21 psi. Chris Barnes old car was right at 500 on pump gas but that had everything custom from the throttle body, intake, exhaust. Everything!

The question is, How much do you want to spend?

Engine @5k
Turbo kit @5k
Computer and wideband @1.5k
exhaust $250
Clutch $400
Injectors @ $300
New radiator and fans, really needed, @500

These prices are a little low but you get the idea. About 13k.

That would get you to mid 400s, rwhp. You would probably need more than that to get over 500. Look at the latest issue of Super Street. He probably had 10k in the motor alone.

Oh and don't forget the reinforced rear end for over another 2k.

"I am having my blown motor sent over to Durdan Perfab and our goal is to push about 650 to the wheels."

Now your talking about 400whp???? I don't think we'll ever see this "Amuse 650" come to life or even under construction.

na im probobly going in another direction. the 650 Amuse cant be driven sideways and thats what im all about is going sideways. I will keep you posted though on the progress. when i get something done i will show pics of it.
Im not one for going in a straight line so super HP isnt that important. Oh the reason why i cant do the amuse kit is because you cant buy the parts individually. If you crack the front bumper beyond repair, you will have to pay another 6K just to get another kit. What i can tell you now is that the car is gonna be damn sexy and dropped on its balls.

I think this is why people were thinking that they met another talker. A lot of people have talked about incredible HP and mods but few if any get it done. If they do it is a 5 year project and they sell the car off before doing what they wanted.

I find it is better either to do the mods and then tell people, not tell the people, or do what you say you are going to do quickly. Your looking at close to 20k to do what you originally said you were going to do. That's a lot of money and why many people may have doubted your sincerity.

Take it from someone that has done A LOT of mods. If you say one think and then it doesn't happen soon, at all, or you change your mind on what you want to do, people just end up saying, " yea, Whatever."

Like jcarton said, it will take a lot of money to get that power.

I am running a inline pro turbo kit. There was a lot to do with the car just to get it running and not brake something.
Yes my car is down. But it is not because of install, maintenence, or the wrong parts, Or CRAZY boosting.
Spun the bearing on the number 4 rod. Which I have found out this is a common flaw with the 00 to 02 years. I will pull out my "banjo" bolts and verify if they are the old ones. This happened back in May and I am still waiting for my bottom end right now.

Just doing anything to a car will wear down on the motor and something will give eventually.
I just wanted to have fun with my car, now it has become a night mare on what to buy, and you don't want crappy parts. You want something proven and done right.
So no that I feel I am financing a third world country here, hopefully everything I need will be in soon so the building can begin and then the driving will last.

So look around and ask questions before you do anything or you will be having problems. Sideways, if you have any questions PM me with your number and I will gladly explain this in more detail. I now live in Largo though I say Tashkent. If anyone has any questions this is open to all.
