Sup guys...

My dad's expecting delivery of an '04 E55 on the 17th, next Monday. We're planning on taking it to RENNtech for the stage 4 package: 575hp for only $15k - quite a steal. Anyway, RENNtech is headquartered at Palm Beach and I was just thinking maybe some of you guys would like to come out and talk cars, drive, etc.

Nothing is official yet; I'll update this thread accordingly. Just giving ya'll a heads up.

I'm in Palm Beach, but I might be in Chicago during the week. If you do make it, go to Riverhouse for dinner; some of the best food in Palm Beach (bit pricey tho, but considering the E55...) Repost if your plans finalize, I'm always happy to meet another enthusiast.

Oh yeah, the local dragstrip has test and tune Wednesday nights. Maybe you can give that thing a few test passes if you stay a couple days. (www.morosomotorsportspark.com)

The visits to a dragstrip are a must. When and if we do make a trip to Palm Beach, we'll drive the car there and probably stay in town while the work is being done; RENNtech PR says it's a 1-week operation. Most likely, we'll rent a car (maybe a 911? ), but my dad will probably want to make some before/after 1/4-mile runs, just for comparison purposes. Bone-stock E55s are running 12.1s at 118mph in Europe; I wonder what kind of numbers we can pull.

We're having the 155mph governor removed, as well, so the drive back home on I-10 should be quite fun - within the speed limit, of course.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to any get-together whatsoever. Hopefully we can arrange an informal car meet or such when/if we get in town.

Cool. Test/Tune is Wed & Fri from 6pm on. Depending on your dates, Chin Motorsports (www.chinmotorsports.com) is having a track day at Moroso on 3/29. You'll need a helmet for sub 14's at the dragstrip and/or the track day. We can probably round up 5 or 6 cars for a meet.

Also, take the Fla Turnpike from Orlando to West Palm; long stretchs of open road, and less construction than I95.

Well, my dad got it today, but I've yet to see it. He's supposed to bring it up (I'm at college right now) tomorrow. Yippee!

Anyway, now that he has it, my dad is exploring his options, and is just about set on the RENNtech deal. All that's left is to pick a date.
