Currently i'm living in the miami area, and my job had offered me a position in Sarasota, but I never been there!!! I would really appreciate any help with info about the area, good places to rent or buy, things to do..ect...thanks in advance looking forward to meet you in one of yours local meets...

 

We live in Bradenton, just north of sarasota. Great area with lots to do , great restaurants and super beaches. AND no traffic like the miami area. You owe it to yourself to come over and tak a look. I moved to the area in 1981 and never left.

yes, theres lots to do, and theres quite a few other s's in the area. btw chip, i saw the wifey took the s to the grocery store last night, i followed her around the parking lot thinking it was you, then she got out so i just kept on going

 

Teddy....you should have stopped and said Hi. I comute to St Pete She drives the s on alternating weeks to keep miles miles off of it.

W do need to have a local meet again soon. Are you going up to the meet at City Walk on the 25th?

I lived there from 1991 - 2004. It is absolutely beautiful. The cost of living is higher than most areas in Florida, but it's well worth it. As for where, if you're gonna be working in north or south Sarasota would be the decider.

 

Yeah, property prices have went through the roof, even in bradenton. But I still don't think it is as expensive as the miami area and it is much less conjested.

Teddy....We have been so busy the past couple of weeks, we want to hang around town this weekend. If you go to City Walk, maybe we cand drive up to Hard Rock for the group drive up to Universal. let me know what your schedule will be. PM me so we dont have this sub thread running.

 

well thanks guys for the replies so far but i would realy apreciate it if i get more feedback,this move is very important for me and the wife.I have been chekin online for info and it seems to me that is realy much cheaper than Miami area.It really sucks to move in a new place not knowing anybody.For sure for the first months I'll be renting because i want to get familiar w/ the area before buying property.Got a quote from ins. comp. and is half what i pay here wow!I am lookin on the Bradenton/Sarasota area so far but if there is another good area please let me know.BTW how is the seat theft in this area,here is out of control,barely can sleep at night,big issue to have S here!Laters

palmetto is a nice town too, its alot quieter and slow-paced as oppesed to bradenton and sarasota. i havent heard of any seat thefts in the area thus far *knock on wood*
