Cool My First Animation In 3DS Max

Hey guys, don't be to harsh as I'm proud as hell of this This is my very first animation in 3DS Max, what do you think?

nice job.. like how the overhead lights cast the shadows and the reflection of the ball on the flooring... good work.. bet it was some time in the creating

Thanks! It took some time being it was my first I spent the last two days making it since I had to learn the animation controls from scratch lol

need to sync up the rotation of the ball with the speed of the ball moving out of frame...right now it looks more like it is sliding than rolling and I dont know if you have life like physics going on but the arcs and heights of the ball need to be tweaked to "sell" the atmosphere a little more.

good stuff though....better than I could do

Yeah that is the general feedback I am getting from about everyone, I will tweak this and repost in a few days....but now I have to get ready for the meet, WOOT!

its weird about animation...just about anyone can tell when something is off. The human mind is very keen to recognizing patterns and movement and realism in other ways. throw something off even a little bit and it sticks out like a sore thumb to our brains.

All types of animators have a tough job because, persistance of vision is not the only thing you have to trick into believing what the eyes are seeing.


keep up the good work...it's fun, right??? I worked for Disney for a little while on some of thier tv animation projects and I loved the process.
