I am using velcro at this moment. I may screw it down in the near future.

The space thing is why I went with it. I actually do carry stuff in my trunk. I don't know the next time I will be at a meet but I am surre we will get together soon.

All right, dumb question of the day:

Would this work with the OEM unit?

I did my install in about 3 hours. hardest part is running the wires along the console back to the head unit. Pulling the head unit is easy but making sure you dont mess up the wiring is tedious especially if you have an aftermarket with the dash control adapter. Plugging the RCA inputs in was not a problem. You also need to hook into the remote turn on lead so that the sub turns on when the head unit turns on. I just used a line tap.

The instructions say you should run all the way to the battery with the power lead. I hooked it up to the constant on terminal at the fuse box and it works just fine. Those terminals are fused to 40 amps under the hood and the sub-woofer has an inline 10 amp fuse. It sure was alot easier than running a wire through the firewall and across the engine bay. I used the seat mounting bolt for the ground.

here is a link to the PDF of the instructions:CS-BB2 Sub-woofer instructions

I find the hardest part is laying under the dash trying to get the terminal on the fusebox terminal. At 50, I just don't bend as good as I used to among other things that I can't do as well as i used to.

Amen on the bending!

Thanks for the insight, I never knew I need a sub-woofer but now I want one, especially one I can conceal under the seat.

E-bay here I come.

Chip....you now know what this means, being that you are totally resposible for this action..........

MOD party to hook up the subwoofer. You have everybody meet at one location, do a step at a time on one car (alpha pilot) with everyone else doing their's as you supervise.

*From the picture, I still think that there is room for the Aura Bass Shakers to further enhance the fanny tickling experience.
