Hmm i guess its the going rate out here, I worked with first class tuners in socal such as Shawn Church and Mike @ auto wave and their quality is undisputable, and their rates never touched that high.

The FIC is also still a sketchy item, its been working well for me, I just wanted a slight tune up on it and some tuners can work it some cant, I just dont wanna find out when the bill comes and it runs me more than a stand alone for a mild tune up.

Not dissing them, maybe they are awesome, just saying, my customer service experience has been poor before entering the door.

 

Wow! you even posted this after I told you that we normally charge $200 for a VAFC tune and @$500 for a full AEM tune.

Sorry you had a bad time. First it was hard to fit you in on your tight schedule than I ask you for what days you could do it and you never responded.

I only bring this up since you seem to bash us a lot. I wish you luck with your tuning experience. People have known me here for six years and I do what I say and have giving everyone great deals. I have a feeling anything we would have done for you would not have been enough.

I recommended several good tuners to you and I think they will be better suited to your needs.

Sry not tryin to bash but I have called bobby afew times and it was always, "Well call you back" I waited days and nothing, I understand being busy but felt blown off, this is something I have yet to experience.

I said it above, Im sure you guys are a great shop, you have many good references, its just that in my attempts, it has gone less than favorable for me. I did respond, I called bobby, i just didnt write it in PM, all the times I was told he would check with the tuner and call me back and its been well over a month now. The prices I listed are what he told me it would cost and tune time is unpredictable with the FIC, which I can understand.

Not bashing, just sharing my experience with the customer service side... my needs are not that complicated, I just wanted to book a time and be treated farily and not blown off on my attempts.... but I guess guys who are snowed with business could give a shit less about new customers...

As a S2KI member, I share good experiences with other members as well as bad experiences, I was simple sharing my experience here not bashing.

Im not a hard customer to deal with and im sorry you feel that way, just being repeatedly blown off does get under my skin.

Im still scratching my head this is even going on... I know who you are Jeff, I know youre a good name and a reliable guy. Hell I even bought one of your rebuilt trannys and things went very smoothly between us.

 

We always try to please everyone. Tuning is harder for us to schedule especially on a saturday. Most shops aren't even open on a saturday.

The shop is very busy and we try to keep up with every request. You shared your experiences right off the bat when you only couldn't get tuned on certain dates. Those dates didn't work out so you were fustrerated. I answered EVERYONE of your PMs promply trying to work out a time and you never gave me a date you wanted to be tuned. Then you posted again before you gave me any dates.

Bascally you posted for tuners. Since you are obiously unhappy with us I suggested a couple good shops for you. Others have suggested shop and you mention even mentioned of people. 2bigforas2ki from the former 2nrwerks said he could do it.

I have used S&R twice and Sub Zero keeps up great communication. After working with other shops, S&R was a breath of fresh air. Give them another try...you will be pleased.

 

Im always game for a second chance, miscommunication did play a role in our little scenario, but the maintenance I needed was done by the only dealership I trust out here, Honda Cars of Bradenton gave me plug change, valve adjustment, oil change and enginebay detail all for $150.99 cant beat that!! Maybe it was a hookup because I do alot of work with them and also bought the car there.

As for the FIC, its an odd little thing, the problems I had with it have mysteriously went away after I did an ECU reset... could I be experiencing detuning issues like Vfac owners report? Dunno...

Its doin its just as I wanted it to as of now, and im just gonna leave it alone till I do the full Kpro setup.
