Just checked and FMR is no longer around so chalk it up as another SWFL failure.

The only other big meet I know for sure still happens there is 'Cars On 5th' in Naples, and this years is Feb 13. More of an exotics Cars & Coffee type of vibe rather than import parking lot meet, but usually a couple local big players bring pretty rare cars out.


If I get in touch with anyone I used to know over there and hear of anything new, I'll let you know. More events happen over here in Miami than the quieter SW section though unfortunately. Partly why I didn't like when my family moved over there.

What area of Florida don't you know?

 

When I was up in NY, we used to have meets weekly during the spring/summer/fall, I was the one usually setting them up. We would get about 10 s2k's on a slow night, 30-40 s2k's mid summer!

I'd like to start a weekly meet in a somewhat central area...what night is a good night to go with?

In NY we would do tuesday or thursday

 

Where are you located? I'm game for Thursday evenings. I'd be thrilled if we can gather at least 10 s2k's in the fort Myers area.

I'm in Riverview, about 20 mins from Tampa. Is there someplace nice about halfway between? I've found that usually a restaurant works good, theres a lot for the parking but also something to do if people dont want to stand outside

 

Sarasota is about half way. It is a nice area and there is also Brandenton Speedway that is open I think on Thursday and Sunday nights. Test and Tune Thursday and Runday Sunday is what it used to be called. Other than that, Fort Myers doesn't meet up anymore
