Default New to FL

Hey guys,

I'm from Western MA but heading down to Cape Coral, FL next week for the winter, and to look for work... so possibly longer.

I will be completely new to the area, so if at any point someone is around and wants to grab a few beers, it'll be nice to meet some people.

I'm looking forward to the weather

I hear you. I work in IT, so we'll see how things pan out. If I HAVE to take the entire winter off, I will

Tampa is going to be a better area for IT jobs. Cape Coral is nice, but it's a ways from Tampa, lol.

Welcome...you gonna miss Taxacheusetts?

You should sign up on fortmyersracing.net. We've got a nice little group of car guys so you can meet some people and familiarize yourself with the area a bit. Actually one of the admins on the site is an IT guy that may be able to help you out with a job.

(Just be sure to read the instructions for the intro post or they'll tear you a new one, it's kindof become a hazing ritual against illiterates that join the site.)

Good luck in the Cape. It's a nice place but boring as hell there.... unless you have a boat. My Father lives there and when I visit I don't see too many s2000s. This person just moved there also. Maybe you can meet up. - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=643245

Welcome to Florida!

Cape Coral is a nice spot but more of a retirement area. I would suspect finding an IT job there may be difficult. Best of luck and join us in Tampa for a meet sometime!
