What happens to concept cars? does someone get to keep them? or do they just go into some museum?

Every year it seems that there are atleast 100 new concept cars. Seems like a lot to not have any hit the street. Imagine owning a 1 of a kind car! That'd be hot.

You can buy any concept vehicle...if you've got the money. Most of them are purchased by private collectors, such as Baron Collier (as in Collier county, FL), or Jay Leno, etc.

concepts can be had if they are truely for sale. Some of the tech involved in some of the concepts are not easily released from the factories that make them until long after they are made. Usually the technology involved is realeased as what ever end result the concept is made for or used in some other form as part of another production model, THEN, they will sell the concept of to hard core collectors or other serious buyer.

Many times you will see a privately owned concept in movies like "the Island" or "the Wraith" where they are the "star Vehicle" or touring the show circuit. The owner will most likely make money on the car by whoring it out on these circuit shows or special engagements like films.

The HSC is probably closer to the "production" version of the next gen NSX than anything else.

And they will start out at a minimum of $110K - $120K unless they step back their target market and ambition a little bit
