Hey all!! I have nitrous in my car but it is not purged. I was thinking about hooking it up for some extra horses! Just wanted to know what you guys think, how much is safe to run without having to worry about blowing my engine. Also if anyone knows a shop that installs and purges. I would also like to hear of any experiences anyone has had with it and there s2k. Thanks guys!!!

A kid I know runs about a 75 shot and he does not seem to have problems.

Todd at http://www.2nrwerks.com can help you out I think.

If you plan on running more than a 50 shot consistantly and safely you'll need to upgrade the stock fuel pump. Noisy inline pumps are the cheapest and easiest to install. Also you need to switch to at least one step colder spark plugs ( copper) and reduce the stock .44 spark plug gap to about .35. Also these plugs should be changed frequently when using the bottle on a regular basis. P.M. Nole 99 , he was running a 75 shot for a couple years then toasted some valves and valve seats when he went to a 100 shot. He may have some helpful advice for you.

Make a post in the forced induction section and do much research on everything you need to make this a relatively safe decision. These F20C engines aren't too cheap to replace from a stupid mistake that could have been prevented with some simple pre-planning.

P.S. a well prepared nitrous equipped S2000 will spank almost any Turbo or Supercharged S2000 because that extra horsepower is instantaneous throughout the entire rpm band.

This is true but the P.S. may not be.

Stock S =200rwhp + 75 shot=@275rwhp.

Most Turbos 400+ rwhp and don't get caught with your bottle tuned off.

Nitrous is a great way for cheap power. Do it!!

P.s. Not try to start anything !!!!!

You notice I said almost any...... we all know nobody can beat the (flyin low blackmobile)

I've seen first hand properly tuned nitrous cars woop up on cars with all wheel drive and twice as much horsepower.

For example: Way back in the day I was a passenger in my brothers bottle fed S2000 ( Nole99) and we raced a heavily modified and supercharged Z06 from a stoplight and after about 85-90 mph the ZO6 started to walk on Scott. At the next stoplight the guy driving the Vette was astonished that we were keeping up with him so well. He said was used to murdering anything on the road......even sport bikes.

Heavily modified and supercharged Z06 that took until 85-90 before starting to walk away? Who's doing the smoking, you, the vette driver, or me?

A stock Z06 (just a MY2001) had 385 bhp and 385/tq... supercharger alone will raise that another 100 points easily... add in more mods and he'll be over 500 before you can blink. The stock MY2002 bumped up both numbers by another 20... 500 bhp is a bare minimum with all of that.

And you're saying a gassed S was keeping up until 90mph?

The Vette had a lot more horsepower and the Vette won. What's hard to believe about that story? I was just trying to demonstrate how nitrous can make you a contender. My main point of all of this is that nitrous will give more horsepower at much lower rpm's than a supercharger or turbo .

Scenario: A turbo'd or supercharged S2000 with 300whp Vs. 300whp nitrous equipped S2000, the nitrous car will be faster......... until his juice runs out...........end of story. I'm not a big fan of nitrous but it is cheap speed.

hey bro, you should just do it yourself and save money.. Unless you're doing direct port, u should b able to tackle the job yourself, and learn more about your car in the process.. email me if you need some tips hooking it up on an s2000, or if you need someone to do it for you.
