NOPI
Come on on Jeff.....admit it.....you used Nu-finish and a can of Pledge. Just kidding care looks awsome as always.
The reason I said that about the pledge is that a friend of mine took second at cocours competition to some guy that used a can of pledge as his final detailing spray.

Thanks, I love the way my car looks with Rob's old front end.
Now for just a new wastegate spring and a couple of more ponyies!!!
I am glad you left the intake hole open. if you were to close it up, you would have been better off buying a splitter for the OEM bumber and calling it day
Those scans we put together look good on the mount boards, you just need some easels to get them off the car

I dont think he should be in the wild class because he has not spent 30-40K on ICE and he does not get new tires and wheels every thirty seconds and he does not have a 15K paint job and 13K body kit etc etc.
he did all of this on his own with no commercial support and mostly with his own two hands.
save the wild class for the sponsored cars and trailer queens.
the ironic thing I was getting to earlier is that Jeff is actively seeking sponsors and, if he gets them, the car will probably become one of the cars he and I have been complaining about having to compete against.
Jeffs car should be in whatever class HE wants to compete in and it is at a level where it should win just about everywhere it goes.
He has worked very hard to get the car where it is and he should be the one that everyone cries out "there goes any chance I got" whenever he pulls in to a local or regional show.
You know there is always that one car that pulls in that everyone knows is something special and takes best of show. His car should be that car for a while, he and the car both deserve it.
I know you are not singling him out but I want to make clear the distinction between his car and the large majority of "Wild Class" cars out there.
There are a few that are examples out there of hard work and the result of a single persons vision, but most are project cars owned by a lucky few that have an "in" with a particular vendor.
once a major vendor showcases a car, then the other big names want in on it for the exposure. and then you have an official trailer queen.
That queen (that has had over 100K worth of mods and work) then gets judged 5 mins before or after Jeffs car and the two cars are in different worlds.
he did all of this on his own with no commercial support and mostly with his own two hands.

whats your point? You won there, twice, with VW, with no ICE, in the WILD class, so now everyone has to be content with the classes they are thrust into?
On a national level, Jeff's car is damn nice but is not on the same level as the mack daddys.
I dont know what I said to touch you off but you are coming across like poo poo head.
really? how did you get into wild with no ICE. and then....how did you win two years in a row without it???? The only reason I did not three-peat was because I sold it....please!!! Come on dude, that sounds like a 12 year old talking.
I am not here to argue with you over how dope your car was and how you were unbeatable. I was simply saying how unfair I think it is that he constantly gets thrown in to high high high class categories at these larger events.
I commend you and the GTI. it must of been something really special to win wild class categories on a national level with no ice, no custom paint and what sounds to be like very little wildness. Like I said, you must of been one of the few that went out there and did it on your own. I dont think you are talking about the same kinds of competitions.
the kinds of cars that Jeff and I have seen come up against his car are nationally sponsored and project built professional show cars. Are you really saying your GTI took it down against the big dogs like I am describing?
Taking first in a maker specific+model specific category wher you are up against 4, maybe 5 other cars is one thing to believe. Taking it down against booth cars is another thing entirely.

i won 1st place in Wild VW Mk4 two years in a row ('03/'04) with very little support from the aftermarket. 30% discount was the most i got unless you count a free set of axles as something that would win a car show. sold the car in '05 and that's the only reason i didn't go back for a 3peat. did this with my GTI that had NO ICE.
