Default Okay, Let's Try Something Different .....

Well, not exactly different. Just a brief hiatus from the Group Drives to let some of the emotion wind down a tad and, still get everyone together while the weather is still good. We did this a couple of times last year and was great fun as each Group came from their own locality and was comprised of smaller groups. Each took their own route, came & went as they wanted and is a great way to include everyone who wants to see and be a part of this Community.

A while back we were discussing some places that would be cool to visit so, here is what I propose. This is strictly for suggestion purposes only, nothing carved in stone and any input is invited to make this as successful as before, only more better.

1). Meet at the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing. Shoot for something around 10:00 AM. Just a hair south of Ocala and a excellent variety of roads to get you there, including you boring Interstate driving types.... LOL.....JK!!! You can stroll through this in an hour if you hustle or, take two if you like to read through the anals of history. If you have never been, this place is highly under rated, no disappointments!

2). Each group leaves when they want, picks their own course and head over to the Villages, just a hair north of Lady Lake. Shoot for meeting here about 3:00 to get the best parking around the Square. Eat good food, drink a Micro Brewery Beer and watch for the coolest collection of personalized golf carts you'll find in the state.

3). Head up over to Nadia's house in JAX and have her model her 220 pairs of heels and get "kicks for life". Then make sure that Craig is in town and we crash whatever Honkey-Tonk he is playing drums at that weekend. Or......

4). We go east bound, bunk in over at Willie G's and have a just in time, name that baby contest.

Anyhoot, you all get the idea. Post up your suggestions, start you own threads and then have all the CO's sort it all out. I love delagating.....

Hey how about a Poker run I use to go on those twice a month when I lived up in Denver I always had a great time and we would break off into teams and the team with the best hand would win and the team with the best time that completed the rally would also win

This is just a suggestion, throwing an idea out

The garlits museum and some eats sounds like fun. we need to plan out a carting session too. this would release some of the competative spirits

So maybe something like:

-Museum
-lunch
-carting
-dinner

for a full day o fun. maybe even a sleepover at the motel 6 for the night-life crowd.

I am all for some carting fun, but I am a bonafied dorkimus maximus too so what I find fun (putt-putt and or pictionary marathons) may not appeal to regular adult types.

Bandiscoot had a pretty serious lock down on some good ideas up around the Ocala area, maybe he could come back to the fold on this idea.....Scoot????

not to rain on your parade scott, but A LOT of people didnt follow what was written on the directions you handed out, they mostly followed the person in front of them so people choosing their own groups and choosing their own directions will most likely result from a lot of people meeting at the start point and A LOT less people at the end point. but knowing you, you prolly thought way ahead and already covered my point.

just to go OT....

i was the one who had to find out the hard way that there was no TP in the bathroom when we first got to the restaurant. eating mcdonalds before starting any event is now a big NO NO

in addition, scott on the next run, i choose to be in your group so i call DIBS!! if you do not know the rule of dibs then you can go to redvsblue.com and they explain the "international dibs protocol" at the end of episode 78 and beginning/midway of 79.

The 24th is bad, as the 25th of February, is the meet at Universal City Walk.
