Default Paint or sell

My paint looks terrible and a decision needs to be made:

1. Keep the car and get a good paint job
2. Sell the car as is and accept I will get less because of the crappy paint
3. Have a cheap paint job done just to sell it

The three places I am looking at getting it painted are:
Precision Collision Orlando
Samuels Autobody
a friend of a friend

Any suggestions for paint shops?

Does anyone have a good idea of what a 2001 with 100k miles is worth? and what it would be worth with terrible paint?

If I sell the car I will probably look for an 04 or 05 with low miles.

If the S2000 is paid off, I'd suggest getting a great new paint job. I know Toekneeg recently had his S2000 repainted, might want to contact him & see what he paid for his paint job.

Not familiar with the companies you listed for repainting your S2000, but I'll suggest National Imports (John Young Parkway & Old Winter Garden Road). They do all of the local Jaguar repairs/repaints , and do alot of custom work.

With a horrible paint job probably 8-9k if the interior is really nice and there are no mechanic issues. If anything is wrong with it probably less.

I sold my 2000 with extra's for $10K and I would say the paint was 8.5/10.

Repaint it ... I had my first S2000 repainted (factory black) and LOVED it. It was a partial insurance claim from a little fender-bender ... so, I paid another $300 to have the entire car painted. I know I got a deal and it was a friend-of-a-friend who painted the car (and one of the best painters in my area.)

My threshold would be no more than $800 for a really good paint job.

Good luck figuring it out though ... sounds like a tough decision.

$800 sounds like a dream, I've been quoted $2500 - $3500, who did you have paint it?

2500-3500 seems about right for a really good paint job.

If the car itself is in good condition then paint it. It is becoming harder to find a good condition s
