Wow! Sorry to hear that but I understand. As a shop owner I can relate. we have over 6300 sq ft and 6 employees and every month we have to watch expenses. In the last 8 months at least 6 performance shops have closed. We are O.K. for now but the last few weeks have been tight.

I am glad you are not closing forever.

If you need any help with the use of a all wheel dyno, lifts, corner balancing, or an alignment machine please call me at S & R Performance. I will be glad to help out a fellow struggling businessman. (813) 961-0609.

We all have to stick together and even though I don't have a s2000 anymore I still feel like you guys are family. I am glad Panducky is doing the right thing and closing the right way. We have had two shops close right after taking a lot of money from customers with no intention of doing the work. One shop owed the Government over 30k in unpaid taxes. The other left Tampa and went to Orlando after messing up several cars.

It is nice to see John is a class act and knows how to downsize and stay alive. we were right in the middle of talks with the landlord to add another 4k to our shop. Needless to say that is on hold for now.

To Panducky! You are not closing but downsizing!

it's a shame to read that you are closing the doors, but you are doing it the right way.

I'm sure you will continue to turn wrenches in the years to come. Thanks for everything man!

John sorry to hear it. I hope the same doesn't become of our shop. Times are tough and it appears that no one wants to fix anything anymore. Apparently trading in for an unknown car rather then fixing your own is the option most of our customers are taking. It's tough to see customers we've had for 7-8 years trading in their car over something as simple as a couple hundred dollar timing belt job. Those customers that are fixing their cars are sacrificing quality and workmanship to save a few bucks at a midas or jiffy lube when I'd be more the willing to price match and just break even to have their business and make sure the cars are well taken care of with quality parts! It's very frustrating and we've now branched into working on a lot of different vehicles just to keep the tech's busy. Last week we spent 2 days prepping Jason's Showroom stock protege for his sebring race at a reduced labor rate just to stay busy!
Lets keep our fingers crossed that regardless of who wins this election that consumer confidence will return and open up the economy!

Sorry to hear.

The car business is bad right now too, I have a ton of dealerships new and used closing around me too. I am just hoping I can hold on until this is all over.

GL with your new adventures.

Thank you everyone very much all for your overwhelming support!

I begin moving the weekend of the 1st, if anyone is interested, maybe we can have a moving party! anyone want to come down and help load the truck with random crap and machines? lol!

Ryuu: Definitely.. i'm trying to fix things before they get TOO overboard... hopefully i was able to catch it in time.

Ben: Thanks! I still want to talk to you guys about some machine work... I need to figure out how to spline a hole in aluminum... any thoughts?

R1: I'm hoping that calming things down a bit will let me focus more... i know it will... so bad-ass projects will follow... yay!

no-cones: no, thank YOU for all YOUR help!

Sin: Thanks! and good luck with yours

JohnsS: well, the doors will still be open... not with the Panducky name though, that business name will not be used... but i'll still be able to do stuff.

S2KSuzuka: Yea, i know a lot of guys having to close their businesses due to the economy. its unfortunate. Hopefully something can be done soon to help stop this tidal wave of collapse that is happening. I feel worse for those who are down and out completely... i'm still trying to swim a little bit at least... but a few people i know are having to go into bankruptcy..

Scoot: Thanks man! I'll still continue to be around, and i am REALLY happy and extremely thankful for all the support i've received so far from everyone here... this REALLY is the best community there is

Jeff: WOW.... man, thank you very much for your generous offer... I wish you guys the best as well... times aren't easy right now, and anything we can do to help each other out is good... i wish more shops were willing to work with each other and help each other... maybe we could make the market a better place if most of the shops didn't have the metality of wanting to just destroy competitors, and not work with them. Likewise, if there is anything i can do to help you guys out as well, let me know

Willie: Yea, definitely not out, and will still be flingin wrenches around for a while hehe! Thank YOU for everything! Can't wait till next year Looking like STU2 will be a nice place to hang out... hehe!

Ian: I hope you guys are able to survive as well... there are a few mechanical shops around here that are struggling heavily as well... i hope they are able to stay afloat through all of this. Its never a good thing to see businesses go out like this.. If there is anything i can do to help you guys out Ian, let me know!

Speedy: Thanks man... this definitely will be an 'adventure', thats for sure... i wish i didn't have to move, but you do what you have to do i guess. Times like this suck, but we can hang tough, and live through it! Let me know if i can help you with anything Josh!

By the way, i also do Graphic and website work, so if anyone is needing graphics, website design, or anything, let me know...
