Hey everybody, does anyone know what you need to do to get a personalized tag in Florida and how much it costs. Thanks a lot!

As you can tell, the exact type of tag/plate may limit the number of characters which you can use. Page 2 of the form shows this more clearly.

I wanted a particular tag/plate but because it limited me to 5 characters, I had to select a different one.

 

If you own a car like we have you gotta have a personalized tag. It just adds that extra touch. It finishes the car as you dust someone. NVR QWT and before that I had my initials on prior cars. The S needed somethign extra though...thus my motto, "NEVER QUIT."

 

IM thinkin "9k a day" or somethin like that. Sound good?

 

That does sound good but you better hope one of our fellow s2kers hasn't gotten it already. Keep that as your #1 choice but have back-ups or variations ready. "NVR QWT" was not my first choice, I wanted "NVRQUIT" like my ID. I've been writing it that way for years with the notion I would one day have it like that on my car...waited too long I guess so "NVR QWT" it is.

You can do a search on the s2ki site for other ideas as well. I know there's been threads on this before. Some GREAT ones out there. I'm sure if you saw one from another state that you liked you could use it here.

 

I went through at least 20 plates before I got S CHARGD. Just take a bunch of choices with you to the DMV. Thay can check them to see if they are taken and then give you the one that is open.

 

Surpsingly enough REV 2 9K wasn't taken.
I figured that would have been first on everyone's list.

Chris, I had a personalized tag on my previous cars but the personalized tag draws extra attention that I didn't want.

If you want one, go with something that's funny like:
