Thanks eric....

I think we both like the Elise a little better. Although it its new to us so that might change. The elise def does handle better, its on rails. The S2000 is faster in a straght line only beacause its SC. But the Elise is no slouch either, its 0-60 is about 4.9sec and its complets a quarter mile in 13.2.

I really like the interior of the Elise. Its very minimlistic, but clean. The S2000's interior is a lazy boy in comparison. never the less, we didnt buy the car for comfort. It really is eveything ive you could ask for in a sports car.

I absolutly love it.

(Call to 2NR Werks) Todd this is Mike......do you know anything about the Elise. Cheryl is kicking my @ss with the S. Well yes Mike, we will simply put the TRD SC in there and if she still is quicker then swap with a K20 or F20, that would be hotttt. Mike......Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I'll get back with you.

Nice buy guys.....congrats!

I get a kick out of those who refer to it as a Toylotus.
Before Lotus incorporated the Toyota powerplant into the Elise, they used to use Rover powerplants. You may remember the Elan, Europa, and Esprit and the dependability issues with these automobiles. I applaud Lotus for using the Toyota powerplant.
I think that many of us may have Lotus envy, myself included, however, we may express it in different ways.

The Elise used the Type-R engine at one point too.

oh, i recall the issues.... great handling cars, wicked fast (for the time), but suspect drivetrain and long term quality concerns. No aftermarket support, no dealer support and no OEM parts support.

i too think it's great they went with toyota running gear, execellent aftermarket support and plentiful parts availablilty, plus toyota durability. i considered the elise heavily during my last car purchase. i decided i wanted the exige but didn't want to wait that long (not here yet and premium price tag ie: no discount), so i bought the S2000.

so, am i making fun of the car by calling it a Toylotus? NO, i am envious. wicked handling out of the box. super light weight. plenty of aftermarket support to make the thing faster.

so, Congrats! Enjoy the Toylotus!! I wish I had an Exige!

Sincerely,

Matt Patton
