There was also a link to another forum where Ben pretty much admitted that he can't sell on S2KI, so he does it all (the selling) by PM's.
Ben knew the site rules regarding selling and was warned numerous times about that, yet he continued to sell.

Commercial sales are prohibited on this site without being a sponsor. Contravening of site rules by attempting to sell "under the radar" while being fully aware of the rules is something that's not tolerated. It's not fair to sponsors and it's not fair to other members who play by the rules.

IMHO the question of the validity of the banning is not in question. He did step in it himself a bit here. I warned him several times myself. He was selling well beyond his logical capacity as an S owner and people noticed. He also put himself out there regarding services a little too strongly. the nail that sticks out gets hammered. I cannot blame the site or defend Ben on this beyond his helpfulness and being a true asset to us and our community.
Now, I have gone to bat for him in the CO forum and requested he be let back in, IF, he and Erik can work out a deal for him to become a sponsor. I am hoping they can work out a deal.
