Default Red Dragon ... pics

I'm still buzzing ... i have never driven roads like these before ... and I LOVE IT!! I bought liquor yesterday and didn't open one bottle yet!!

Fontana village is beautiful and an amazing location for the S2 events ... i wished i could have made one. As i drove in Friday morning i saw 2 S2's leaving. One silverstone and one suzuka. The suzuka had a cam mounted in front of the windscreen. I guess they were leaving cuz i haven't seen them since.

Here's a little sample of what i've been enjoying ....

Hope to see you guys soon ... i need someone to slap this smile off my face!

I have been ... only been a little sideways twice ... nothing crazy though.
Did the Dragon for the first time at night last night ... amazing. Literally smoked the brakes on the way down.

I only had time to install the rotors and pads. I didn't get around to doing the lines ... and i need to get DOT4 fluid too. The brake pedal went to the floor once at the bottom (i was testing it goin about 30mph)

I'm hoping to take another run today sometime. There's a pretty good group of Mini's here that are hardcore ... maybe they'll let me tag along.

Only saw one mishap with a motorcycle ... the guy was ok. But, he was pushing while the roads were still wet. I did see a yellow tourer (new Gold Wing maybe?) and the rider was a PRO!!!! He caught me QUICK and i let him go by. I saw him for 3 more turns and then he was GONE!!! He was off the sadle in each corner ... on a TOURING bike!!!! I'm still in shock over how well he was riding.

Get braided brake lines and motul fluid. Makes a big difference on spongey brakes.

You're right ... I got the lines too ... just didn't get a chance to put them on before i left. That and the fluid i'm sure will make the difference. Wish you guys were here.

I WILL NOT MISS next years S2ki.com meet.

I'm just sitting in the lobby here at the Fontana village chillin and checking my sites/emails. A little bored but it's nice. Just watchin the little old ladies walkin around with their disposable cameras takin pics .... too funny.

About 45 degrees outside right now ... and I still manage to leave the top down for most of the driving!

I think we should have 'thursday night meet' here ... tonight. So, you Florida kids get you butts up here!! I've already got the liqour chillin and ready to pour (or chug?)

Man.... you know I want to. I love that area.

Stay in your lane! Has it been dry the whole time? how's the fire in the lobby?

I'm back ... got in last night around 10:30. Made the return trip via the Dragon and heading straight out to i75 just above Athens, Tn. Took me just over 9hours and I drove THRU Atlanta!!! Sunday evening in Atlanta via i75 seems to work! lol. Not a bad drive overall.

Weather there was awesome. Had a little 'mist' come in Saturday night but was dry by noon. A LOT of leaves were falling too so that made the first 4 hours of driving a little hairy for everyone. But, eventually it cleared and the runs were full steam. Tons of bikes testing the limits. Killboy.com was there in several key spots documenting the occasion. I'm pretty sure they got me twice that i know of. I haven't checked the site yet to know for sure.

I stayed in my lane with some ease. I didn't test any limits with any run ... maybe just a corner or two at most. You know how i am about jeopardizing anyone elses safety. Unfortunately not everyone understands that little bit of reality and i saw several close calls.

Looking forward to the next group meet up there. I can only dream about how much fun that is. I'm still glad that i went this weekend just to 'pop the cherry' and not have that initial intimidation to deal with while with a group.

<-ready for the next level! lol
