Wow, I didn't know that...I haven't done an in depth research on the Elise's history. I ain't paying no $80 on a book... 
Now isn't that a hassle to have to import the car as a kit car, and doesn't he value also drops?
P.S. Have you check with your insurance about a kit car coverage?
