And the S is on the road...FOR REAL!
Well, the flat bed came and picked up the S a moment ago. I should have taken a pic but I think the guy would have died laughing right in the middle of the street. It was a thing of beauty how he got the S up on the flat bed w/o a scratch or a rub especially considering she's dropped close to an inch and has the Comptech side skirts. Good to know it's on its way to some good mechanical minds.
Funny thing...that was the first time I've driven the S since 11/18. I hadn't even used the voodoo knob Sandy got me for my birthday back on 12/2. Felt nice to be back in the drivers seat again. Granted it was just pulling it out onto the street and behind the truck but it was something. Little victories!
Hopefully I'll hear back first of the week to see what needs to be done. Something is going on with the rear passenger wheel. Lbsypher and I don't have a clue after he drove and inspected it about a month ago. Some have said it could just be a messed up brake pad or even a wheel bearing. Hopefully the former.
In the trunk they have all the parts to update the oil bolts, replace the oil jets, LE synthetic, OEM filter, Honda gasket sealant for the pan, new plugs, plus new front and rear pads from Spugen. They're also going to check the valves and everything else while it's in there to make sure she's ready for a few track days later this year. At 65k she needs a little extra TLC IMO.
I'll post updates. Once she's back it'll be time to strip off the "H" badges and side logos. I'll be replacing them with my old Rick's "S" badges (old style from Fastracks S back when it was black!) and black chrome side logos. A little Zaino here, a little Lexol there, some Endurance over here and we're back on the road!

what plugs are you using?
Hopefully in a couple months or so I'll move forward with the Hondata gasket plus Mugen thermo and fan switch. If things go really well I'd still LOVE to order the Elda roll bar but that's a doozy at this point. I'll also add an oil catch can before Roebling (no biggie there).
Just got a call. They've already found "the noise." Something to do with the brake installation. I'll never go back to that guy! Anyway, easy fix they said and that part should be done Tuesday once the parts arrive. Luckily their parts guy is also "our parts guy" at a local dealership.
Come Monday they'll get into the engine for the bolts, jets, etc. and to inspect everything. Very glad to know the noise is no biggie. Hopefully everything else will be up to snuff with only minor tweaks to come.

Glad to hear your car will be all right.
It is hard to find good help and someone you trust doing it.
Good luck, and hope to meet up with you one of these days to hear about the DNA shot in more detail.

Yep. These guys (Stage 6) came highly recommended from several sources including our own Slo S2k (Charles from Discount Tire and now in O-town). I've heard of them for probably 4 years between guys in the club and other car nuts around town. So far so good so hopefully my luck will continue.
The "DNA Shot" now that's some fun. I'll have to remember to bring the glossies. Pictures really don't do "it" justice but we'll try to make the verbal transcript as descriptive as possible.

No doubt they will take care of you.....
You know me, I won't refer anyone that I wouldn't take my own car to.

It's funny to go on the site for Stage 6 Motorsports and see Jay's old Suzuka turbo on there. I remember when he first got the car and it only had rims on it. Of course EVERY time you saw him after that there was something new. Talk about mods. From what Ricky said he's out in Colorado now (I think that's right). No telling what he's driving nowadays since I know he sold the S to get a Suzuki and then a Mustang.
Paul at Duval has also been extremely helpful in getting the parts the guys needed.
What was that mini mod they did to your car? You were telling me one day at Discount. I want to say something to do with the electrical but it's been awhile.
