The S2000's "replacement"
So I finally picked up and started the Grand Marquis this weekend. Changed the oil, removed the stock intake box/tube (was filled with mud dauber nests, decided to zip tie a K&N filter to the upper box and just leave the bottom out for now). Car runs good, but lacks A/C currently.. need to fix that. Digital dash is also flakey (see pics of the 32 degree day, sunday, in florida...... ), and the power antenna isn't working, so I could only listen to 101.5, 100.7 and 93.3...... nothing a big pair of pliers couldn't fit though
I have about $120 into the car currently, car itself was free, oil, k&n, wiper blades and registration is all I've spent so far, so not too much of a money pit at the moment.... Once I'm a little more secure with it's reliability it is very likely that this thing will be autocrossed.. why the hell not?
Looking for some 17" mustang wheels now, they should bolt up, and autocross tire selection is much better.
I kept this car solely because it's a tow package and can tow 5,000lbs fairly well, 3,500 is a safer limit but 5,000 is doable. I'm hoping to get the red SE-R seen in some of the pics down to 2100-2200 with the full cage, so with an open aluminum trailer it should tow it well enough (the red car is a 24 hours of lemons car we are building).

I may just drive this at the battle-x if I can find mustang wheels in time... hmm I wonder if my 17" volks fit.

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Dave-RORmobile or what?

it's just a SOHC 4.6L mod motor.I drove it to work today, drove fine, does good one-wheel burnouts, need a trac-loc diff for it, lukcily they are cheap. It does have a 3.27 rear gear, which is desirable for them, but not as nice as the 3.55...
But no, my Integra will likely remain my normal DD/beater, this thing will likely be used for towing/hauling and that's about it. I'd like to replace the Integra with something new, just not sure what I want, I tend to switch cars way too often so I hate going with a nice new car, seems like a waste of cash when i sell it 1-2 years later for $10K less than I bought it for....
Mother: Cig lighter works I think? I have no idea actually.... never tried to use it.
If anyone knows of some 17" mustang wheels that fit it around town, let me know
I might test fit the volks tonight
I'm fairly certain that the rears with the S2000 retard offset won't fit though.
