Default S2KI! WTH? READ THIS!

Alright...here goes,
Monday night my S was ravaged by the punk ass seat theives. Worst thing about the whole situation is that it happened in my work parking lot (i work for a very large, publicly traded, fortune 500, HR outsourcing firm). The incident was captured on camera and occured without any action from a company security employee.

I've written a letter requesting a complete evaluation of the security measures currently in place to foil such criminial activity, as well as complete compensation for damages not covered by the insurance (my freakin Oakley's, other interior damage, time lost, etc).

Legal stuff: Nowhere on the private property are there disclaimers posted about the company not being responsible for damages done to personal property.

Am I crazy for expecting something of the company? THIS REALLY SUCKS.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!
THAT SOUNDS LIKE MY CAR!!! AHHHHH! WHAT A SMALL WORLD!!!! TAKE CARE OF HER MAN!!!!

Believe me, i plan on fighting this. Every single professional consultation i've had agrees with me, and im talking professionals from several different fields.

IT REALLY BLOWS MY MIND THAT THEY'D EVEN TRY TO BRUSH ME OFF?!?! AS IF I HAVE SOME WAY OF PROTECTING THE CAR WHILE IM SLAVING ON THESE CLIENT CALLS!!?!?!

Frankly, I'm really p.o.'d

willie, as far as the footage goes...i watched it. and boy did it make my blood boil.

the fact that the security organization at our building is in SHAMBLES doesn't help. everything is on film, however, no enhancement capabilities are available because it wasn't saved on DVR. the cops have software to enhance, but come on, what have the cops done for the other guys that have been jacked?

check with HR about the policy of the company regarding property being stolen on their property. it may not be posted in the parking lot but you may have signed off on the employee handbook where it may say that your property is your reponsibility

I feel your pain man.
Sorry to hear about the raping.

A local parts dealer/general repair shop in tampa had some cars broken into in their parking lot, 3 cameras have footage of the incident, no faces-------no conviction. It sucks how it works. We need flame throwers on the cars like the british security systems.

once again...........sorry

Man I am real sorry to hear this. We have had similar problems at my company over time. I haven't heard of anything lately but I also don't take my car to the office. I only see it on the weekends.

Who knows where to get the seat lock bolts that I have heard about?

I think we all need to get a set before it is to late.
