Thumbs down Saturday night GP Dinner! APRIL 1st.

Alright, for those attending the GP and that will be in town, I am planning a dinner for us all to get together the night before the big day... I've eaten there before, and it's a really fun interactive restaurant... Oh yeah the food is really good too!

Current List as of 10pm 03-31
In:
SiCK HONDA +1
Tinker129+1
Bandiscoot
Willie Gee
captainbk +1

Maybe:
nvrquit4

Update: A "priority seating" reservation has been made for 15 @ 7:45... Once we check in, we are moved to the top of the waiting list...

Location: Dish. Located in the Baywalk Entertainment Complex right near the track.

Info: Dish, BayWalk, Second Avenue between First and Second streets. Build-your-own lunch or dinner from ingredient bars, then watch it cooked on massive grill. (727) 894-5700. $$

About Baywalk:
"If you come to St. Petersburg and don't go to Baywalk, you haven't been to St. Petersburg. Baywalk is an open air plaza with several good restaurants, good shopping, a movie theatre and several bars. We enjoy going there to go through the shops and eat at Dan Marino's. The Dish is also there and everyone raves about it (we haven't been there yet, though). There is this wonderful food smell emanating from one of the restaurants, though, and I think it is from the Dish. "

What: Dinner and Drinks!
When: Saturday night, April 1st, 7:30 PM
Who: All who would like to attend. (Including the Tampa folks, since they are in the area)

What Dish Is About:
A unique opportunity exists at dish in which the emphasis is placed on the enjoyment and satisfaction of each individual's hand-selected meal. Every visitor of dish has the ability to select from a variety of fresh market ingredients - including 30 gourmet vegetables, seafood and meats such as sirloin, shrimp, calamari and salmon, pastas, and salads. Ultimately each creation is completed by the selection of one of our gourmet sauces to form their own individual 'dish.' Of course, the creation of such a wonderful meal should be shared with others. Thus, the large dining area and 28.5 foot in circumference grill staffed with chefs of incredible culinary prowess and engaging personalities provides an interactive environment in which large parties can be accommodated and entertained. There are few places which can offer such an incredible atmosphere and a delectable meal to large parties.

Let me know who's in and whether you're +1, +2, whatever... BTW it's a cool place for kids, too... if it matters.

I'll make the reservations, if necessary.

Been there with the inlaws and it is a really great place. I'll bounce the idea around once I get into town Friday afternoon and let Matt know ASAP. A lot depends on what's going on with the Parade Lap. A LOT has changed in the last 24 hours. I cringe when my cell phone goes off...no seriously. Plus Todd is going to be doing some work on my car one of the days so whenever he's available I'll need to be there. I know Scorpion and he are having a ball with a few things at the moment.

that was the first dish (and only) one i've been to. it WAS fun. i remember i mixed a white creamy sauce with a brown clear sauce and it was fantastic. something you wouldnt' normally do.

for those who have never been, you pick out your meat raw and sauces and they mix it up and cook it on this giant circular grill. you can go back as many times as you like. plan on spending a few hours eating!

Wife and I are in if "Newbies" are welcome. Dish is a fun place. It will be crowded at that time. We may want to call and see if we could get a large outside area for the group. The weather will be perfect.
