Default Shifter Stuck, couldn't pull it out? : (

Hi Fellows, I need some help here with my shifter. So apparently my shift have decided to get stuck in the reverse position, however, I know its either the bushing or the spring gone bad and cause that problem. But the biggest problem that Im having now is when I try to fix it, I couldn't pull the shifter out. Although I've loosen the bolts already, no matter how i try,I still couldn't get it out. Did anyone ever run into this type of problem? Please HELPPPPPPPP!!!!I would be greatly appreciated!!

See this all the time... problem is that the plastic ring has expanded and won't alow you to shift. Contact John (LHT Performance) at 727 344 1800 and he should be able to take care of it for you.

Hi, im guessing you are Paul from LHT? Thanks for your advice, Actually I brought it to LHT yesterday and John wasn't there because he had to go for a dyno tune with another customer, so he had another guy tried to help me work on it, but he couldn't pull the shifter out niether. We were clueless? either both of us wasn't strong enough or it got stuck pretty damn good lol...However, i beileve he already told John about it, but John's schedule isall booked for the rest of this week. Therefore unfortunately I had to leave without it getting fixed until John's next opening schedule. : ( And in the meantime im waiting for John, Im just searching for more advices. Btw thanks again! : )

Yep, that's me.

The problem is, once you get it out, I think you may have to have the new piece to put it back in. Once the part spreads out it won't go back. I'll double check with John when I see him.

I removed my shifter and had to clean everything and regrease it all with Redline CV2. I popped the plastic piece off and wire wheeled the shifter to remove all of the old grease buildup. Car still sticks occasionally but nothing like it did. I may just order a new plastic piece and call it a day.
