Default Shuttle Launch Meet? This Friday night?

I'm thinking about heading over to watch the shuttle launch friday night (i know, i know ... IF it's not scrubbed as usual).

I'm willing to go even if it doesn't go up. Maybe do a drive by the Gee's casa and then participate in some eating and drinking at a fine local establishment. Maybe even the Garlic restaurant!?!? Ummmm ... i miss that place ... it was a great meet location last year.

Anyway ... i think the launch is scheduled for 7:45pm ... and that does make it tough for some folks to make it over in time ... but i still think it would be awesome to be within 20 miles of it when it goes up.

Willie Gee ... any suggestions for a great spot to watch this candle burn? Especially if it's a restuarant with outside seating and a good view of the launch? I'm thinking NSB can't be too far away.

NSB is GREAT place to watch the launch. I'm sure that all the eateries that are on the ocean will be more than packed. Chases would probably be the best, but the parking there is so lousy that the papers have actually written articles on it.

I would suggest a meet at my house before 7:00. At 7:00 we can roll out to Canaveral Nat'l seashore to watch the launch.

Then off to the Garlic, it's been awhile since I've been there and I've had a hankerin' for some Garlic vittles.

If you guys want to, we can drive down south and get even closer. We will just have to leave from my house a little earlier.
