I think that I am the only person semi-officially not elidgible. And even that is a self-inflicted policy and one that is not even set in stone. I had to drive the parade lap last year to fill in one of two extra spots they needed last minute.

hopefully we will have more than enough alternates and i am creating a call list that i will have at all times to ensure somebody gets in if we need it.

Does anyone have a laptop with air-card/dedicated wireless technology that can connect to the web through their existing service provider?

we tried buying a connection at the RV spot last year and that did not work out so well so I am reaching out for someone willing to lend/rent me the laptop and let me purchase/offset some bandwidth for the weekend.

I am fully insured and will gaurantee the safety or replacement of anything used in this manner.

It's called tethering. Check your cell provider.

Sorry to be so anal about this but wee have had some problems in years past and i am trying my best to avoid problems where possible.

Niether do I. It uses airtime but it is near broadband. I use mine via a bluetooth link to the phone. I don't use it all the time but is workable.
