ugh ... just attempted to drive thru Lady Lake/Villages. Looks like a war zone!!! I really hope Dean is ok. Anybody heard from him this morning?

I ended up driving around some back roads for about 2hrs trying to get to work. I made it but it wasn't pretty ... so much destruction.

All of the power was out including the traffic lights ... if you can avoid this area ... do so.

Everyone please be careful ... and check-in here if you can. Would be nice to know that everyone is ok.

I heard on the news this morning about the devastation (deaths in Lady Lake etc). Another trailer park was devastated. My condolences to the area.

I have a theory as to why tornados always seem to hit trailer parks. I think the amount of aluminum used in these houses (and in such a concentrated area) actualy affect weather patterns and suck in tornados to that area.

Thoughts?

weaker buildings = more damage = bigger story = more coverage.

true but how often do you see the damage path of a twister go right through a mobile home park or manufactured house subdivision.

aluminum siding and or studs/framing?????? I dont know I think I am on to something here.

Maybe it is just an abnormal collection of bad karma in those areas too.

Dean thinks he has good karma. I hope it is true and that he and Martha are OK.

Well, It ain't good. Two of my boys both work for People's Gas (TECO) and they already got their calls. They are on the way over there now and will call me with what they find out 1st hand. The peliminary stuff that they have been told is not good news. Pray hard.....very hard.

Well, Dean's light is on, so I'm sure he's OK.

I think Martha was/is out of town.
