Default track days coming soon

hey all,

met some of you guys at kanki and the movies during one of your meets. just wanted to drum up some participants for some upcoming track days.

Two in November
8th and 9th @ Roebling with the DarkSide
15th and 16th @ the new track in starke/gainesville with NASA

There are a couple events in Sep. with NASA but they are too far and too soon for me.

Already registered for the Roebling event (but she said there's still plenty of room)and will register for gainesville when it opens.

Hope to see some of you guys out there.

the gainesville (I think it is actually considered starke) road course is the new addition to the rally school that has been out there for years. They just finished (few months ago) road course and it is available in a few different layouts.

i would think nasa will be using the largest version which is a 2 mile course. there are some events in september too, but i've got sep. and oct. deadlines at work that will mean i cant get there before november. i'll spot you guys the practice and see you in november

sweet, just what i've been wanting to do... I now wish I had a STI as well to go on the rally course.

Does anyone happen to know if a cage is required?

I think about 300+whp is required from the look of that track -- lot of huge straights! If they paved the rally track, it would be a really fun track in an S ... would be really fun as-is in a rally car too.

No cage is required for NASA. But if you had one i could almost guarantee that you would turn faster times--I know i would-- cause sometimes it's just too hard to forget that those factory roll bars don't quite extend over your head!! I know that 90% of the time you just slide but

I agree, a lot of hp would make it more interesting. it doesn't look like the funnest track i've ever seen, but it is now the closest, and i suspect that it would be hard not to enjoy yourself anyway
