Travel an Adventure
Folks... after reading about the Dragon's Tail... I went there... drove it.... it's awesome... however... there are so many local twisty roads up there an I had so much fun... ( i must have shot 2 gig's of video.... ) hell... i'm gonna move there... found an awesome girl... found a small auto shop for sale... found a nice house ( ok.. it's going to be a nice house after a yellow bulldozer fix's most of it...) but it does have a breath-taking view of the mountains... and for 40,000 with 2.29 acre's, i can't say no... on the street racers front... had several runs with some local as well as passer thru's... ( for informational purpose only... i'm gonna say the Mustang Cobra musta had an inexperienced driver cause I ate it... and a few Boxer's.. a couple Sub's... ) ( ok.. i got totally eaten by my little girl friends Toy Camery... but she really knows the roads... )
well... i'm home here now an i miss the morning drive thru the mountains...
oddly... this morning.. for some reason... my clutch seems to have been losing fluid... and some maint req light came on.... hmmmmm time for alitte tlc before i head back up...

I love that area & would go up there in a heart beat! It's my other half who can't seem to leave the ocean!

It does get cold up there and this stuff called ICE gets on the roads. You will want a 4x4 as a winter driver and put the S away during the winter months.
Good auto repair shops are more rare than liquor stores in that area, if you build a clientel you will be very busy. Locals can be a little standoffish to Floridians that move up there.
It indeed is a beautiful portion of the country. I was a wilderness and whitewater guide up there during my college years. I would not trade those days for anything.
